Women’s Family Violence Counselling

The Women’s Family Violence Counselling program offers a free and supportive counselling service for women who have experienced family violence. Women’s Counsellors have extensive experience working in family violence and understand the impact this can have on their physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing.

About Women’s Family Violence Counselling

Women’s Family Violence Counselling is a free and confidential service offered to women aged 18 and over. A client centred strengths-based approach is used and is informed by the following theories:

  • Attachment theory
  • Developmental theory
  • Neurobiology of trauma

The family violence program offers a range of women’s groups targeting the effects of family violence.

How do I access Women’s Family Violence Counselling?

The Women’s Counselling program offers a free and supportive counselling service for women who have experienced family violence. Counselling is available at the St Kilda location from Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.

How much will it cost?

Women’s Counselling is a fee-free service.
