AOD Counselling for Individuals

The Counselling Team consists of counsellors, social workers and psychologists who are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or their respective professional body and who have undertaken additional AOD competency-based training.

We provide Centre -based Counselling services are offered at Star Health offices at Prahran, South Melbourne, St Kilda and Bentleigh. Counselling is tailored to individual’s goals and needs, through a welcoming, recovery oriented and trauma-informed practice. The team draws on evidenced based approaches that are effective for co-occurring issues.. Counsellors offer phone support and face-to-face counselling to individuals wanting to address the impact these issues are having on their lives.

After hours Centre- based counselling is offered at Prahran on a fortnightly basis.

 

Counsellors are also co-located with Access Health in St Kilda part time in a drop-in capacity.

 

Who is eligible?

Adults (16 years +) living, working or with a significant link to Port Phillip, Stonnington, Glen Eira, Kingston and Bayside areas.
