Communities That Care (CTC) Stonnington is a community led movement guided by over 20 organisations and schools to improve the wellbeing and safety of young people and their families in Stonnington.
About Communities That Care Stonnington
Our aim is to create a healthy, connected and inclusive community that is safe and supportive for all children and young people.
CTC Stonnington is part of a national movement of communities, all striving to support the healthy development of children and young people. Our local partnership includes schools, community organisations, local government, health services, police, sports clubs, community groups and many more.
How do I get Involved?
CTC Stonnington wants to engage with as many children, young people and families as possible to help us make Stonnington a great place for children and young people. We want to know what is important to you and we want your help in rolling out projects.
Tuning Into Kids and Tuning into Teens
Tuning in to Kids® is a suite of parenting programs that focus on the emotional connection between parents/carers and their children, from pre-schoolers to teens. The evidence-based programs have proven success in improving parenting, parent-child relationships and children’s emotional competence and behaviour.”
The traditional program format consists of 6×2-hour sessions, occurring in consecutive weeks. The program is facilitated by 2 workers, trained in the program. CTC Stonnington provides the traditional format to parents who live, work or play in Stonnington.
For more information Tuning into Kids/Teens and the evidence behind the programs go to: www.tuningintokids.org.au
We have also piloted a webinar format which runs for 3×1 hour sessions, occurring in consecutive weeks – however this is not the full course and aims to give participants some basic tips and tools as well as insight to what the full program would be like.
We run courses throughout the year, if you would like to participate please give us some *information about you and your family via the online form below so we can enrol you into the program of your choice. Once you have registered, we will contact you with upcoming course dates.
